Stitched NASA Apollo Images
I generated these images by stitching together multiple photos (10 or more) from NASA archives with special software to create a seamless panorama. The original individual photos were taken during various Apollo moon landings by the NASA astronauts using customized Hasselblad cameras mounted to the front of the space suits (visible in some shots). I think these panoramas give a better impression of what Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11) called the "magnificent desolation" of the lunar surface.
